Lindsey Harper started playing softball in 2002-03 as an inaugural member of the newly formed softball program at Ursuline. She played a vital role in quickly transforming the softball program into a winner, collecting a program record 25 wins in the team’s third year of existence.

As a freshman, Harper led the American Mideast Conference (NAIA) with 1.82 hits per game (36 total games). She also ranked sixth in the conference in batting average, hitting an amazing .443 for the season. To reward her tremendous effort, she was named a Conference Honorable Mention by voters in her first year.

Over the next three years, she continued to improve – earning a spot on the All-AMC Second Team in her sophomore year as a shortstop, and a spot on the All-AMC First Team in her junior season as a catcher. As a sophomore, she ranked sixth in the conference in triples (4) and on-base percentage (.463). In her junior season, Harper was sixth in stolen bases (16) and played hard defensively behind the plate – earning the top fielding percentage in the conference, making just one error in 289 chances (.997 fielding percentage).

In her four-year career, Harper hit .368, collecting 156 hits in only 424 at-bats. In the first two years, the Arrows won a combined six Conference games in 34 total games. In the final two years of Harper’s time at Ursuline, the team won ten games in conference despite six less contests (28). This included an overall record of 25-18 in 2005, which is a program best.

Harper graduated in the spring of 2006 with a degree in Education.
