The Ursuline College Track & Field team competed at Ashland University for the 3rd Annual Jud Logan Light Giver Open on Friday and Saturday.
Alaysia Brooks won the 800m and broke her own meet record in a time of 2:09.12. Brooks currently is ranked #1 in NCAA Division II in the 800m.
Jocelyn Dornbirer set a personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:21.19 to place 10th.
Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako placed 2nd overall in the triple jump with a jump of 11.37m. The DMR relay team of
A'Zaria Thomas,
Breanna Banks, Dornbirer, and
Emma Esteves placed 5th overall with a time of 12:18.66. The foursome runs the second fastest time in program history in the Distance Medley Relay. The 4x400m relay of Banks, Brooks, Thomas, Dornbirer placed 5th overall in a time of 4:00.45.Â
Kayla Kephart placed 6th overall in the high jump with a jump of 1.55m.
Claryssa Panayotti had a personal best of 13.09m in the weight throw to move into 4th all-time in program history. Personal bests were set in the 400m -
Kayla Kephart in 1:04.94 and
Angelys Caballero in 1:06.46.
Dominique Weisz finished in 2:31.65 in the 800m,
Emma Smith 11:41.37 in 3000 meters,
Karrington Green 9.62 in the 60m hurdles, and
Ranique Rhoden 6.90 in shot put.
The Arrows will return to action on Saturday, February 10 at SPIRE Collegiate Games.
