The Ursuline College Women's Track & Field Team traveled down the road to SPIRE Academy for the SPIRE Collegiate Indoor Games on Valentine's Day. The Arrows saw multiple top two finishes and season-best performances on the day.
KeYonna McGill led the way on the track with a second-place finish in the 400m dash, running a season-best time of 58.35.
Jocelyn Dornbirer matched that effort with another second-place finish in the 800m, posting an indoor personal-best time of 2:19.36. The 4x400m relay team of Angelys Caballero,
Kennedy Outland,
Kayla Kephart, and Davinia Sanchez-Mireles placed second overall with a time of 4:13.73.
Aaliyah Banks placed seventh overall in the 60m hurdles finals, running 9.58.
In the field events,
Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako placed second overall in both the long jump and triple jump with marks of 5.28m and 10.96m, respectively.
Adrianna Ruble had a huge performance in the women's weight throw, recording a mark of 14.34m to place fifth overall and move into fourth all-time in school history in the event. Ruble continued her strong day with a season-best and indoor collegiate-best mark of 10.81m in the shot put, placing seventh overall.
Kayla Kephart matched her lifetime best in the high jump, placing seventh with a jump of 1.60m.
Additional personal bests on the day for the Arrows included Aubrey Welchans-Harris placed 10th in 400m with a time of 1:01.91,
Kennedy Outland in the 800m, running 2:29.44 to place 17th overall.
Selena Ertell-Easley jumped 4.54m in the long jump to place 14th overall.
Delaney Maclay recorded a throw of 8.45m in the shot put.
Hannah Pearson closed out the personal-best performances for the Arrows in the mile, running 6:34.98.
The Arrows return to action next Friday, February 20th, at the Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invite hosted by Case Western Reserve University to close out the regular season. Full results from the SPIRE Collegiate Indoor Games:
