The Ursuline College Women's Track & Field team continued its strong stretch of top finishes and personal-best performances this past weekend at the Baldwin Wallace 54th Sparky Adams Invitational. The Arrows totaled 35 points across six events 400m hurdles, 200m, 1500m, long jump, high jump, and shot put.
Kennedy Outland led the way on the track with a runner-up finish in the 400m hurdles, crossing in 1:06.73, just fractions off her lifetime best.
KeYonna McGill added another second-place finish in the 200m with a time of 25.34, continuing her consistent success this season.
Jocelyn Dornbirer matched her runner-up performance from the previous week in the 1500m, finishing in 4:48.86. The trio combined to score 24 points for the Arrows.
In the field events,
Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako secured a third-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.17m, earning six points.
Kayla Kephart cleared 1.55m in the high jump to place sixth overall and add three points, while also turning in a solid 800m performance at 2:26.78.
Xyia West contributed two points in the shot put with a 7th place  throw of 10.73m.
The Arrows also saw strong efforts just outside scoring positions, highlighted by two 9th place finishes.
Katie Lane recorded a season-best 5:02.50 in the 1500m, while
Aaliyah Banks ran 15.80 in the 100m hurdles.
Additional notable performances included
Madison Sands placing 10th in the high jump (1.45m) and 15th in the 100m hurdles (16.63).
Malicca Brown finished 11th in the long jump with a mark of 4.96m.
Delaney Maclay posted a personal best of 4.55m in the long jump and added a 29.70 in the 200m.
Gisele Cabrera delivered one of the biggest improvements of the day, cutting over 30 seconds off her previous best in the 5,000m to finish in 20:27.02.
Dominique Weisz ran a personal best of 1:02.60 in the 400m to place 16th overall and narrowly missed another personal record in the 1500m with a time of 5:13.23 earlier in the meet.
Katie Lane also competed in the 400m, finishing 19th in 1:02.92. Angelys Caballero had personal best in the 200m with a time of 28.16 after running 2:30.55 earlier in the meet.Â
The Arrows will send a select group of athletes to the Mount Union Classic on April 22–23 as a final tune-up before the G-MAC Championships next week in Hillsdale.
