NCAA Provisional Qualifier and Two All G-MAC Performances

The Ursuline College Women's Track & Field team placed 7th overall at the G-MAC Indoor Championships, scoring a total of 25.50 points, just 1.50 points behind Walsh University, who finished 6th overall. The Arrows saw multiple school records, top-five performances, and recorded an NCAA provisional qualifier along with two All G-MAC performances over the weekend.

Friday – Day 1

On Friday, Day 1 of the championships, Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako led the way with a 3rd-place finish in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.52m, scoring 6 points for the Arrows. Gyasi-Nimako earned All G-MAC honors with the performance and received a 3rd-place medal on the podium.

KeYonna McGill tied the school record in the 60m dash, placing 9th overall with a season-best time of 7.64. McGill missed advancing to Saturday's final by one spot, as only the top eight finishers advanced. McGill also had a strong showing in the 200m, placing 11th overall in 24.98, which moved her into 4th all-time in UC program history.

Eljoenai Wehl placed 7th overall in the 400m dash, advancing to Saturday's final with a personal-best time of 58.00.

The DMR relay team of Katie Lane, Aubrey Harris-Welchans, Phebe Elliott, and Dominique Weisz placed 8th overall with a time of 13:01.10, scoring 1 point for the Arrows. Ursuline closed Day 1 with 7 total points.

Additional notable performances on Day 1 included:
Adrianna Ruble – 14th in the women's weight throw (13.78m)
Malicca Brown – 17th in the long jump (5.01m)
Aaliyah Banks – 18th in the 60m hurdles (9.54)

Saturday – Day 2

On Saturday, Day 2, the Arrows were led by Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako's second All G-MAC performance and an NCAA provisional qualifying performance by Jocelyn Dornbirer.

Gyasi-Nimako returned to the podium in the triple jump, placing 3rd overall with a jump of 11.49m. The performance earned her a second All G-MAC honor of the weekend and added 6 more points for the Arrows.

Jocelyn Dornbirer placed 4th overall in the 800m, recording an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 2:12.90. The performance marked a new personal best and moved Dornbirer into 3rd all-time in UC program history, scoring 5 points. Dornbirer will now wait to see if she is selected for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Kayla Kephart tied for 7th overall in the women's high jump with a clearance of 1.57m, earning 1.50 points.

Eljoenai Wehl placed 7th overall in the 400m final, running a new personal best of 57.24 to score 2 points. The performance moved her into 5th all-time in program history.

The 4x400m relay team of Wehl, McGill, Elliott, and Dornbirer closed the meet by breaking a 12-year-old school record, running 3:53.48 to earn 4 points for the Arrows.

Additional notable and personal-best performances on Day 2 included:
Katie Lane – personal best 11:02.61 in the 3,000m, improving her 5th all-time mark
Gisele Cabrera – personal best 11:53.34 in the 3,000m
Kayla Kephart – personal best 2:27.83 in the 800m
Angelys Caballero-Higgins – personal best 2:27.87 in the 800m
Kennedy Outland – personal best 2:28.12 in the 800m
Hannah Pearson – personal best 6:28.79 in the mile
Madison Sands – personal best 1.52m in the high jump
Xyia West – 18th place finish in shot put 10.27m

The Arrows finished 7th overall out of 12 G-MAC teams with a total of 25.50 points, marking the highest point total since 2024 and the closest Ursuline has been to 6th place in over six years, missing by just 1.50 points. The team will now wait to see if Jocelyn Dornbirer is selected for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held in Virginia Beach, Virginia, from March 13–14.
