Janelle Perry captured her second career National Championship at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships held in Pittsburg, Kansas over the weekend.
Â
Perry, who won her first National Championship last May in the 100m Hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships, won the 60m Hurdles on Saturday evening with a time of 8.22 seconds.
Â
Her time of 8.22 seconds, a personal best, is the ninth fastest time ever in NCAA Division II history. Along with the National Championship, she earns All-American status for the sixth time in her career.
Â
On Friday, Perry finished second in the Long Jump, which made her a five-time All-American, with a jump of 6.19m (20-3 ¾ feet).
Â
The National Championship capped off a weekend in which Perry was named the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year after she scored 35 points at the Great Midwest Indoor Conference Championships in late February.
