Last Chance Meet Results

GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Ursuline College track and field team finished the indoor portion of its schedule on a high note, winning three events and setting a school record at Denison University's Last Chance Meet on Friday (Feb. 28) night.

The 4x200 relay quartet of sophomore Bea Indurain, junior Keyana Roberts, sophomore Nicole Burlinson and freshman Alexis DeVaughn finished second with a school record time of 1:48.01, topping the previous mark of 1:50.09.

With a time of 1:50.50, the foursome of sophomore Jasmine Lett, freshman Chelsea Rice, freshman Aminah Bercheni and senior Fontaine McCaulley finished third in the same event with the third best time in program history.

Individually, Burlinson, Indurain and Roberts all won an event.

In her first time competing in the 400 all season, Burlinson won the race in 59.04 and Indurain's 5.19 meter long jump performance, just .01 meters off her career best leap, topped the other 13 participants in the field.

Roberts, six days removed from the best performance of her life, won the 18-paricipant 60 meter dash in 8.06 – two spots ahead of Bercheni (8.23) and three ahead of Lett (8.28). Roberts later took third in the field of 23 in the 200 meter dash when she covered the distance in 26.75.

Freshman Ali Mowrey continues to impress in the throwing events. She took second of 22 hurlers in the shot put when she was measured at 11.66 meters, improving from her previous season best of 11.26. She now ranks fourth in school history in that event.

Tonight's meet concluded the indoor season for the Arrows with the exception of Burlinson who qualified for the NCAA Division II Indoor Nationals in the 800. She will race in Winston-Salem, North Carolina the weekend of March 14-15.

As a program, the Arrows will compete for the first time outdoors on March 29 at The College of Wooster Invitational.
