The Cross Country team competed in the All-Ohio Twilight Championship in Cedarville, Ohio on Friday evening.
Emma Esteves placed 42nd overall out of 334 runners breaking the school record in 5k with a time of 19:02. Esteves finished 24th overall in the DII/NAIA division section of the meet.
A'Zaria Thomas placed 51st overall in the DII/NAIA division and moved up to 4th all-time in school history with a collegiate best time of 19:58.
Alaysia Brooks placed 54th overall in the DII/NAIA division and moved up to 5th all-time in school history with a collegiate best time of 20:01.
The Arrows had a few collegiate best improves on the night;
Emma Smith with a time of 22:04,
Ciani Kensey 22:16,
Mary Thomas 23:35, and
Ainsley Fraser in her first collegiate cross country meet turned in a solid performance in 24:26 to round out the top 7.
The All-Ohio Championships have been a cross country tradition for Ohio colleges and universities for the past 41 years, but this year was the first year the meet was hosted as a twilight night meet. Arrows finished 17th overall out of 36 teams in the all division race and 9th out of 15 teams in the DII/NAIA division section of the championship meet. Ursuline will have a month off from competition where they will then return to action at the Oberlin University Inter-Regional Rumble on October 15th.Â
