The Ursuline College Women's Cross Country Team competed at the G-MAC Championships, where the Arrows placed 10th in the women's championship race.
The women started off the championship meet, competing in the 6k race at 10:30 a.m. on the Fisher Family Trail course on the campus of Northwood University. Senior
Jocelyn Dornbirer had a huge performance, leading the Arrows with a 71st-place finish in a personal-best time of 24:22, moving into 10th all-time in program history in the 6k. Dornbirer improved by 16 places from a year ago at the 2024 G-MAC Championships.
Katie Lane and
Dominique Weisz both had solid performances, placing 82nd and 86th in times of 24:54 and 25:01, respectively.
Kayla Kephart and
Gisele Cabrera both had unbelievable performances with huge personal bests on the biggest stage of the season. Kephart placed 93rd overall in 25:22, and Cabrera finished close behind in 25:56, rounding out the team's scoring on the day. The Arrows scored 294 points to place 10th overall out of 12 teams, just 31 points behind 9th-place Northwood University, which scored 261.
Other notable performances included Angelys Caballero, who ran 26:43, just nine seconds off her personal best.
Kennedy Outland ran a personal best of 27:22, a 53-second improvement from her previous mark.
Hannah Pearson ran 28:22, just a few seconds off her best, while
Grace Toth recorded a huge personal best of 29:54, breaking the 30-minute barrier for the first time in her career.
The Arrows will have several individuals competing at the NCAA Regional Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin, hosted by the University of Wisconsin–Parkside on November 8 at 10:00 a.m. for the women's 6k championship race.
