The Ursuline College track & field team competed in the YSU Collegiate Invitational on Friday.
The Arrows were led by a pair of top five all-time performance in school history.
Dayahana Douglas had a 2nd place finish in the 60m dash with a time of 7.70. This was just .03 off from the NCAA provisional mark. Douglas moved to 2nd all-time in school history in that event, putting her behind three time NCAA national champion Janelle Perry. Douglas continued her great day with a 2nd place finish in the 200m dash with yet another top five performance in school history with a time of 25.48. Both of Douglas' times were a new personal record for her.Â
Emma Esteves moved to 2nd all-time in the 5k with a new personal record of 18:30.52. This put her directly behind UC Hall of Famer, Jessica Dingman. Esteves finished 2nd overall in the event.Â
Alaysia Brooks finished 5th overall in the 400m dash with a new personal record of 59.84.
A'Zaria Thomas finished 5th overall as well in the 800m run with a new personal record and moved to 4th all-time in school history with a time of 2:22.57.
Miranda Mowrey had a personal record in the shot put of 8.41m. Mowrey's previous best throw was 7.69m.Â
The Arrows compete next at the YSU National Mid-Major Invitational on January 28th and 29th.Â
