In the month of December, Katie Cappello led the team with 18.6 points per game in six contests. She led the team in scoring in three of the games, including a team season-high 28 points against Roberts Wesleyan.
In her last four contests, Cappello has scored at least 20 points in each game and has averaged 23.3 points per game. She has also improved a majority of her stats in other categories.
She averaged 7.2 rebounds per game, raising her season average to 6.0. She had a season-high, and career-high, 12 rebounds in her last game of the month, a win over Penn State DuBois.
She recorded 10 steals, eight assists and six blocks in the month of December. All of her blocks came in the last three games of the month, while seven of her ten steals came in the same three-game span.
With her increased scoring, her shooting percentage has also increased as she shot 60% from the field over the six games and over 64% in the last five games.
For her efforts in the Ohio Wesleyan University Tournament over the holiday break, Cappello was named to the All-Tournament Team.
