In the month of January, Laura Campbell scored 16.3 points per game in seven contests, including 31.0 points per game over the teams last two games of the month. She scored a career-best and a team-single game high 37 points on Jan. 31 at Central State, playing all 40 minutes and shooting 8-17 from the field, including five three-pointers, and 16-20 from the free throw line.
In January, Campbell led the team in scoring four times in seven games, including its win over Salem International on the road (Jan. 11). Over the last 10 games since she was held scoreless against Houghton College, she has increased her scoring average from 8.7 points per game to 12.7 points per game.
In regards to her continued climb in the Ursuline record books, Campbell is now fifth all-time in scoring with 919 points scored, just 66 points behind Tasha Mix for fourth all-time. She also is fifth and trails Mix for fourth in career field goals with 318.
With 125 career three-pointers, Campbell stands alone in second all-time, but will unlikely catch Whitney Blackburn's record of 321 long range makes.Campbell did overtake Tasha Mix in one category - Free Throws. Campbell is now in fifth all-time with 158 free throws made, passing Mix with 151.
