Ursuline College Athletics

Junior Vanessa Consiglio helped the Ursuline College soccer team go 7-2 in the month of October. She scored 25 points in that nine-match span as she totaled eight goals and nine assists. With 16 assists during the regular season, Consiglio leads the entire country.

She started the month on a terror with three goals and four assists in the Oct. 2 match against Salem International University in which UC scored a program record 11 goals. Consiglio then scored a goal and added two assists against Ohio Valley on Oct. 4 and followed that up with a goal against Shawnee State University the next day.

Consiglio had a part in both goals (one goal, one assists) as UC beat Alderson Broaddus University by a score of 2-1 in overtime on Oct. 9 before chipping in a goal and two assists against Marygrove College (Oct. 15). Arguably her biggest strike of the season came when she netted the game-winner in a 1-0 victory at Cedarville University on Oct. 18.
