Junior forward Emma Ricketts was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference ‘Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week’ three times during the month of December – and with good reason. In six games last month, the transfer from Owens Community College averaged 15.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, both of which led the team.

Ricketts posted double-doubles against Davis & Elkins College (20 points/13 rebounds on Dec. 14) and West Virginia State University (20 points/10 rebounds on Dec. 21) and was named to the Toys for Tots All-Tournament Team after averaging 18 points and 7.5 boards during UC’s two contests at the holiday event.

After going 3-3 in December, the Arrows are 5-6 overall and have already surpassed last year’s win total.
