Beachwood High School: Two-time team “Most Valuable Performer’ while running for head coach Willie Smith…two-time All-Ohio choice and a member of two relay teams that shattered school records…named the school’s ‘Athlete of the Week’ three times and earned the same award from The Plain Dealer…in 2012, the Chagrin Valley Conference (CVC) named her its conference MVP after she was first team All-CVC in the 200 and 400 meters while also running on the All-CVC relay teams in the 4x200 and 4x400…her 4x100 relay team finished fourth (49.77) in Division II at the 2012 Ohio High School Athletic Association state meet…second team All-CVC in the 400 meters as a senior…also on the conference’s top 4x200 and 4x400 relay quartets…ran on the 4x400 relay team (4:01.97) that took eighth at the outdoor state meet…also participated indoors, running on the 4x200 (third in the state) and 4x400 (second in the state) relay teams…played soccer at Beachwood and was named the team’s ‘Most Improved Player’ as senior.

Personal: Born February 16, 1995 in Cleveland, Ohio...daughter of Dwight and Michele DeVaughn…has three brothers: Dionte, Aaron and Dwight Jr….intends to major in early childhood education…recipient of the 2010 Leadership award…in 2012, she attended a mission trip to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
