The Ursuline College Women's Track & Field team opened the 2026 indoor track & field season at the University of Akron Al Campbell Invitational. The Arrows turned in multiple top performances at the competitive NCAA Division I–hosted meet.
Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako led the way with a win in the triple jump, recording a jump of 11.58m. Gyasi-Nimako also placed 10th overall in the long jump with a mark of 5.18m.
Jocelyn Dornbirer placed 5th overall in the mile, setting a new personal best time of 5:12.34. Dornbirer now moves into 3rd all-time in Ursuline program history in the event.
KeYonna McGill placed 9th overall in the 60m dash with a time of 7.78, just one spot away from qualifying for the final.
Eljoenai Wehl placed 13th overall in the 400m dash with a new personal best time of 59.60.
Kayla Kephart placed 13th overall in the high jump with a jump of 1.50m.
Xyia West placed 13th overall in the open section of the shot put with a season-best throw of 10.75m.
Additional Arrows notable performances included
Aaliyah Banks, who placed 19th in the 60m hurdles with a new personal best time of 9.49.
Kennedy Outland placed 19th in the 800m with a time of 2:33.98.
Katie Lane placed 19th in the mile with a time of 5:33.98, while
Dominique Weisz placed 23rd with a time of 5:35.41, just one second off her personal best.
Phebe Elliott and Aubrey Welchans-Harris placed 26th and 27th in the 400m with times of 1:02.84 and 1:02.91, respectively. Welchans-Harris' performance marked a season-best time.
To close out the meet, the 4x400m relay team of Wehl, McGill, Elliott, and Dornbirer placed 2nd overall with a season-best time of 4:01.39. The 4x400m relay currently ranks 3rd in the G-MAC this season.
The Arrows return to competition next Friday and Saturday at the Kent State University-Jud Logan Memorial Invitational and the John Carroll University-Leo Miller/Hayden Snow Meet of Champions.
