The Ursuline College Athletic Department has announced the new hiring of A.J. Lozinak, head strength and conditioning coach.
Lozinak came from Webber International University in Florida where he was the assistant strength and conditioning coach. He led many sports specific trainings to teach proper techniques as well as overseeing daily facilities and equipment upkeep to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Previously, to Webber, Lozinak was a strength and conditioning coach at Speed Strength Systems, Inc. (Chesterland, Ohio), from 2023 to 2025. He trained youth, collegiate, and professional athletes in individual and larger group settings.
He served as a strength and conditioning coach intern at multiple different facilities including NST Sports Performance (Strongsville, Ohio), Ashland University (Ashland, Ohio), and John Carroll University (University Heights, Ohio) from 2020 to 2023.
Lozinak graduated from Ashland University with his Master's of Science in Applied Exercise Science and a minor in sports management and coaching. He has certifications with USA weightlifting, the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and through the American Heart Association for basic life support.
Athletic Director, Cindy McKnight said "Lozinak is a perfect fit here in the Athletics Department and I am excited to see him grow the program and connect with all our athletes. I have no doubts that he will do a great job for us with the experience and extensive knowledge that he has. We could not have asked for a better hire."
