Ursuline College Track & Field Senior, Breanna Banks, was named Athlete of the Year by Fellowship of Christian Athletes – Cleveland Metro. She was recognized at the Impact in the City Banquet at Grace Church on April 26^th.
 
The Athlete of the Year award is given to one student-athlete who regularly demonstrates all four of the FCA Core Values of Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence at a high level. The athlete also must hold a 3.0 GP or higher and be involved in their local church. Breanna was awarded this prestigious honor upon nomination by Head Coach, Alaric Best.
 
Banks was born in Akron, OH and currently lives in Houston, TX outside of the Ursuline College school year and competition season. This senior Track & Field athlete competes primarily in the 400m hurdles and is a key component to the success of UC's Distance Medley Relay team who has placed podium at G-MAC Championships and multiple other meets.
 
Breanna serves on the FCA leadership team here at Ursuline. She reflects on her time with FCA  "FCA started at my school during my sophomore year. That was the year I made the decision to truly submit to the Lord and allow Him to use me fully. I became one of the FCA captains and had the privilege of leading huddles, being a resource to my peers, and serving however I could. Over the past three years, I've grown so much spiritually, gained a family in Christ, and had experiences that have strengthened my faith. The Lord has opened my eyes to see that his purpose for me at UC was not to be just a track athlete but to use the platform and gifts he has given me, to honor and glorify him.
