The Ursuline College Track & Field Team wrapped up the regular season at the Walsh Tune-Up Invitational with several strong performances.
Alaysia Brooks led the way with a win in the 800m, clocking a time of 2:09.34 to earn an NCAA provisional mark. Teammate
Jocelyn Dornbirer recorded a season best in the event, finishing 10th overall with a time of 2:22.08.
Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako placed 3rd in the triple jump with a mark of 11.31m in three attempts. In the 400m hurdles,
Kennedy Outland placed 3rd with a personal best of 1:07.29, while
Breanna Banks finished 6th in a season best of 1:09.08.
The 4x100m relay team of
Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako,
Autumn Burgess,
Malicca Brown, and
Aaliyah Banks placed 4th overall in their season debut with a time of 49.69. Three Arrows finished 11th in their respective events:
Autumn Burgess in the 100m dash with a season best of 12.84,
Malicca Brown in the long jump with a mark of 4.93m, and
Maggie Furst in the discus throw with a throw of 35.00m.
Other notable performances included
Emma Esteves and
Katie Lane in the 1500m, placing 14th and 15th with times of 4:57.08 and 4:57.32, respectively. Personal bests came from
Gisele Cabrera in the 1500m with a time of 5:32.74,
Delaney Maclay in the javelin with throw of 24.52m and
Angelys Caballero in the 400m with a time of 1:02.76. Season bests were achieved by
Meghan Hodges in the weight throw with a throw of 37.71m,
Aaliyah Banks in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.71.
The Arrows now turn their focus to the G-MAC Championships taking place April 30–May 2, hosted by Ashland University.
