The Ursuline College Track & Field Team competed at the Westminster Invitational this past weekend, continuing their strong start to the outdoor season with several top eight performances.
Alaysia Brooks highlighted the meet by winning the 1500m in her debut in the event, crossing the line in 4:44.99. Her time ranks third all-time in program history.
In the field events,
Kayla Kephart placed third overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.55m, improving on her performance from a week ago.
On the track,
Eljoenai Wehl had a good showing, placing fourth in the 400m with a time of 1:02.06 and seventh in the 200m in 26.59.
Jocelyn Dornbirer placed fifth in the 800m with a time of 2:22.65, while teammate
Katie Lane finished eighth in 2:25.49.
Breanna Banks ran 1:09.15 in the 400m hurdles to earn sixth place, and
Emma Esteves ran 5:06.23 in the 1500m to place sixth overall.
In the throws,
Maggie Furst recorded a season best mark of 34.63m in the discus to place eighth.
The 4x400m relay team of Wehl, Banks,
Kennedy Outland, and
Davinia Mireles-Sanchez finished off the meet with a strong second place finish, running a time of 4:11.36.
The Arrows will return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 18–19, at the Baldwin Wallace Sparky Adams Invitational
