Track & Field National Championship Recap

The Ursuline College Track & Field team closed out the indoor season at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Indianapolis, IN, as part of the NCAA Division II Festival.

Alaysia Brooks represented Ursuline in her fifth consecutive NCAA Championship meet on Friday afternoon, the first Ursuline College athlete to reach this accomplishment in school history. Brooks finished 18th overall in the 800m with a time of 2:18.24.

Earlier in the week, Brooks was recognized for her USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the 800m, along with teammate Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako, who earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the Triple Jump.

The Arrows will take a week off before beginning their outdoor season at the NC State Raleigh Relays. A select group of athletes who qualify for this highly competitive NCAA Division I meet will compete in Raleigh, NC, from March 27–29.
