Ursuline College Track & Field had a competitive weekend at the Ashland University Jud Logan Light Giver Meet, where over 1,600 athletes competed throughout the event.
Alaysia Brooks led the way with an NCAA provisional mark in the 400m, running a time of 56.36 to place sixth overall. Her performance was an indoor personal best and moved her to second all-time in program history.
Kayla Kephart achieved a major personal best in the high jump, clearing 1.60m to improve her third all-time ranking in school history while finishing sixth overall.
A'Zaria Thomas placed eighth in the mile with a time of 5:02.09.
Dayahana Douglas placed 10th in the 60m dash with a season-best time of 7.77 and finished 14th in the 200m with a time of 25.54.
Savahnna Gyasi-Nimako also had a season-best in the 60m dash, clocking in at 8.12, and ran 27.13 in the 200m. In the 400m,
Breanna Banks (62.78),
Davinia Mireles-Sanchez (63.00),
Kennedy Outland (63.11), and
Angelys Caballero (63.62) all recorded season-best performances.
In the 800m,
Katie Lane (2:23.44),
Jocelyn Dornbirer (2:24.32), and
Dominique Weisz (2:29.33) each posted season-best times.
Gisele Cabrera ran a personal best in the 3000m with a time of 12:00.47.
Karrington Green and
Mya Knight opened their pentathlon competition, with Green scoring 2,763 points to move into third all-time in school history, while Knight moved into fourth all-time spot with a total of 2,492 points. In the weight throw,
Claryssa Panayotti improved her fifth all-time program mark with a throw of 13.66m.
Jasmine Jamison (12.84m) and
Delaney Maclay (11.72m) also recorded season-best performances.
The Arrows will return to action this weekend, competing at the Baldwin Wallace Mid-February Meet on Friday (Throwers), the Kent State Doug Raymond Invitational on Friday and Saturday (Jumpers and Sprinters), and the GVSU Big Meet on Saturday (Distance) on February 14-15.
