Historic Season Opener for Men's Track & Field

It was a historic weekend for Ursuline College Athletics as the first Men's Indoor Track & Field team opened up their 2025-26 Indoor Season at the CWRU 12th Annual Spartan Alumni Holiday Classic. In this historic moment, the Arrows had multiple top performances throughout the meet.

Jaaden Henry (FR) led the way for the Arrows as he had three top three performances in the meet. Henry was runner-up in the 60m final with a career best of 7.09s, 3rd in the 200m with a time of 22.71 (22.31 converted), and 3rd in the 4x400m relay. Teammate Quincy Miller (SO) kept Henry company is the 60m final placing 7th overall with a time of 7.14. His finish is just .02s off of Miller's career best. Elijah Marable (FR) placed 11th in the 60H preliminary round in a time of 9.80s. Over in the 500m, Brandon St. Martin (SO) and Dillon Defibaugh (FR) went 1-2 in the first section, running 1:09.88 and 1:10.58 respectively. Those times placed St. Martin and Defibaugh 3rd and 4th overall.

The Middle Distance and Long-Distance group had a strong showing in the 800m, Mile, and 3000m. Starting with the 800m, Micah Earnest (JR) placed 3rd overall with a time of 2:03.86 (2:02.12 converted). Ryan Jeanneret (FR) and Arjun Patel (FR) in a competitive Mile race placed 4th and 10th overall with a time of 4:29.83 (4:26.43 converted) and 4:45.88 (4:42.28 converted) respectively. Thelonius (Theo) Lucien (JR) and Austin Sneed (FR) placed 2nd and 3rd overall in the 3000m running 9:20.77 (9:14.33 converted) and 9:27.53 (9:21.01 converted) respectively. 

In the field, Elijah Marable (FR) placed 9th overall in the Long Jump with a jump of 6.00m/19-8.25. Tyson Jacobs (SR) placed 8th overall in the Shot Put with a throw of 12.62m/41-5.

The 4x400m relay team of Defibaugh, St. Martin, Henry, and Marable closed out the meet placing 3rd overall with a time of 3:35.75 (3:32.37 converted).

The Men's team looks to continue their impressive start this Saturday, December 13th at the Tiffin Alumni Open.
