The Ursuline College Cross Country Team competed in the annual All-Ohio Intercollegiate Challenge Classic at Cedarville University on Friday. The Yellow Jackets hosted the race at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course, facing extreme heat in the women's 6k race.
The team secured a 14th-place finish out of 34 teams in the all-divisions race. Senior, Emma Esteves, paced the team with a 29th-place overall finish out of 314 runners, recording a time of 23:55. Freshman Katie Lane placed 70th overall with a notable time of 24:49 in her first collegiate 6k.
Senior, Alaysia Brooks followed in 73rd place at 24:53, while Sophomore Domonique Weisz and Kayla Kephart rounded out the top five, placing 128th and 148th, respectively, with times of 26:12 and 26:35, both achieving personal bests in the 6k opener.
Following a week long break, the Arrows will return to competition on October 5th at the City of Louisville, Kentucky's Live in Lou Cross Country Classic 5k event.
