James Snow Named Head Golf Coach

The Ursuline College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Jim Snow as the golf coach for the 2022-23 school year.
 
Snow, a native of Flint Michigan, previously coached at his alma mater Powers Catholic High School in Michigan where he had success both in the boys and girls golf programs.
 
"We are very fortunate to add Jim to our dedicated coaching staff here at Ursuline. His experience and wealth of knowledge about the sport of golf will be a tremendous benefit to our young women," said Ursuline College Athletic Director Cindy McKnight.
 
From 1994 through 2013, the boys won three state championships while the Girls were State Championships three times (2007, 2008, 2018). The girls were varsity State Runner-ups in 2007, 2011 and 2019 in the spring.
 
He helped the program win 12 out of 17 Regional Championships including the last four in a row. Snow was named the Michigan High School Athletic Association Coach of the Year in 2008 and 2019 and was nominated for the National Coach of the Year both times. He was named the Flint Area Sports Hall of Fame Coach of the Year in 2019.
 
"I am just so happy and thankful to be able to continue to teach kids the sport I love and teach it at such a great place like Ursuline College," said Snow. He added, "The campus is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen."
 
During his 17 years in Michigan, his teams finished top five in the state finals 12 times and only missed qualifying for the finals three times and missed the top five two times.
