The women's golf team traveled this past weekend to compete in the 2026 Vulcan Fire Classic, hosted by California University of Pennsylvania (California, PA). Each golfer competed in two rounds with 36 holes in total. The team placed 7th overall out of 11 teams.
Zaria Hampton led the Arrows with a second-place overall finish. Hampton shot 160, with a 78 in the first round and an 82 in the second round. Hampton received a total of 12.41 points in the NCAA Division II bracket. She shot +16 over par, going 6 over par in the first half and 10 over par in the second half. Hampton was consistent, shooting par on 17 out of 36 holes, along with two birdies. Richtier Hanslkie also had an impressive finish for the Arrows, placing 8th overall out of 56 golfers. Hanslkie shot 164, going 81 in the front half and 83 on the back end. She scored 7.53 points shooting +20 over par. Overall, Hanslkie shot par on 14 holes and three total birdies.
Finishing third for the Arrows was Alayna Smith in 37th place. Smith shot a 202, going 106 in the front half and 96 in the back half. Smith shot +58 over par during the tournament while hitting par on three holes. Rounding out the Arrows was Meghan Zann, tying in 50th place. Zann finished with 221 strokes overall and +77 over par. Zann shot par on three holes and birdied on one.
The Arrows will return to the fairways on April 10th for their last tournament of the 2025-2026 season at the Tiffin University and Walsh University Spring Christmas Classic. The event will be held at the Hidden Creek Golf Course in Lima, Ohio.
