Box Score 2 The Ursuline College softball team dropped a pair of games on Friday afternoon in Clermont, Florida as part of the PFX Spring Games.

In the opening game against the University of Pittsburg at Johnstown took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, but the Arrows responded in the bottom of the second.

With one out, senior
Gina Rosshirt singled and two batters later
Hannah Trent followed with a base hit and stole second base. Junior
Sadie Jones delivered a two-run single to put the Arrows back in front 2-1.

Pitt Johnstown added a run in the fourth and broke the game open with a five-run fifth inning to build a 6-3 lead.

The Arrows got a run closer on the first-career home run from sophomore
Brooklyn Miller in the sixth inning.

In the second game of the day against Ferris State, the Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the third inning and Ursuline tied the game 1-1 the next inning.

Once again, the big inning hurt the Arrows, as Ferris State plated four runs in the home half of the fourth inning.

Jones tossed all six innings of game two allowing five earned runs on seven hits.

Ursuline is back in action Saturday morning against Saint Michaels College (Vt.) at 9:00 AM and then will play Saint Anslem at 1:30 PM.
