GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS: 

• Both teams were quiet with the bats with no more than five batters stepping into the box for each inning. 

• Ashland was in scoring position at the top of the second inning with two on base from errors by the Arrows but were unable to bring them home.  

• In the third inning, Ashland had two hits and ended the inning with two runners left on base.  

• Ursuline got their first hit in the bottom of the third by Casey Barton, but she was stranded on base after a groundout.  

• Both teams were getting on base from solid contact with their bats but could not convert them into runs. Ashland had six hits during the game, and Ursuline had eight hits.  

• The real action happened in the sixth inning when Destiny Ruggiero hit a 3-run RBI home run to score Nicole Brant-Badillo and Heidi Earl.

• Destiny Ruggiero hit a 3-run homerun to earn all the runs for the Arrows.  

• Heidi Earl hit a double, going 2 for 3 with 1 run scored.  

• Abby Haydu had 2 hits, including a double. 

• Nicole Brant-Badillo had 1 hit and 1 run scored.  

• Casey Barton added a double for the Arrows.  

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS: 

• Destiny Ruggiero got her fourth RBI on the day in the first inning when she singled to right field to allow Holly Earl to score.  

• Ashland put pressure on the Arrows by tying the score in the second inning off a sacrifice fly hit.  

• AU made their mark in the third inning with four earned runs scored.  

• The Arrows held the Eagles in the fifth inning by getting three back-to-back outs at home plate to stop the Eagles from scoring.  

• Ursuline scored their second run of the game in the fifth inning off Holly Earl when she hit an RBI single.  

• Ashland secured two more insurance runs in the sixth inning from three hits.
