The Associated Press named Wells to its 2012-13 Division II All-Ohio first team after she averaged 16.5 points and 6.0 assists per game while shooting 56 percent from the field. She helped lead the Warriors to two district titles during her four years starting on the varsity squad.

As a junior, Wells was elected a captain for the first time in her career and she averaged 16.3 points per game, one year removed from averaging 17.5 points per game as a sophomore.

Wells was a three-time all-city performer and a four-time all-district pick who scored over 1,000 points in her career.

She also ran cross country for four years at Eastmoor Academy.

Wells, who is ranked fourth in her class and a four-time scholar-athlete, is a member of the National Honor Society. She intends to study education (math) at Ursuline College.

Coach Sword on Wells: “Tajanee is a very special athlete who can score in a variety of ways. With her skill set, she will have the opportunity to impact the game on both ends of the court immediately.”
