Andy Deehr, Hired as Head Coach for the New Men's Golf Program

The Ursuline College Athletics Department has announced the hiring of their new men's Head Golf Coach, Andy Deehr. 

Deehr joins the Arrows from Gilmour Academy, where he served as the boys' head golf coach from 2022 to 2025 as well as the Associate Athletic Director. During his time at Gilmour, he coached the boys' team to six Team Tournament Titles, three Individual Titles, one First Team All-Northeast Ohio Selection, and three Second Team All-Northeast Ohio Selections. 

Previously, he was the men's head golf coach at Hiram College from 2018 to 2022, and was the head women's coach from 2019 to 2022. Before his time at Hiram, he was a coach for the PGA Jr League at multiple different country clubs, including The Clubhouse Cleveland, the Kirtland Country Club, and the Wetherington Golf and Country Club. 

While at The Clubhouse Cleveland, Deehr was a golf teaching professional, where he developed and implemented clinics and private lessons and assisted with the coordination of the Junior Golf Program at the Canterbury Country Club. 

Deehr graduated from Hiram College with a Management degree, focusing on Marketing with a minor in Communications. He competed for the Terriers for 4 years while being a captain of the team for 3 years. 

Athletic Director, Cindy McKnight, stated that "We are thrilled to welcome Andy to the coaching staff here at Ursuline. He brings a lot of experience and will help create a competitive men's golf program for Ursuline. I am extremely excited to see what he will do for us and for the players".
