The Ursuline College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of their new assistant soccer coach and head strength and conditioning coach, Benjamin Latimer. 
 
Latimer did a coaching internship with the Kent State women's soccer team during the 2024 season. Previously, Latimer was the assistant men's soccer coach and sports performance coach at Kenston High School. During his time at Kenston, Latimer helped coach his team to become the 2020 Western Reserve Conference champions, with an undefeated conference record of 7-0, and an overall record of 13-4-1. 
 
Latimer competed collegiately at Walsh University and went on to play semi-professionally in Bradford, England with Eccleshill United F.C. He was then selected from the All-Air Force Soccer Team to be part of the Military Men's National Team, representing the United States and competing in the CISM World Football Cup in Muscat, Oman in 2017. 
 
Head soccer coach, Jason Kubbins stated "We are excited to have Ben in the program.  He has great experience both as a player and a coach. We feel he will bring a wealth of knowledge to our coaching staff."
 
Latimer is currently a strength and conditioning coach and a sport science fellow for the Greeneville Flyboys baseball team. Previously, he was a volunteer assistant strength and conditioning coach for the men's basketball team at Kent State University after an internship with multiple different teams at the school, training men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, volleyball, and gymnastics. 
 
Athletic Director, Cindy McKnight stated "I'm very excited to welcome Coach Latimer to our coaching staff. I know he will be a positive influence for all of our student-athletes in the weight room. His knowledge and discipline will help excel our women's soccer team and further develop their skills. His passion for the sport is unmatched and his energy will bring a lot to the soccer program. I am excited to see everything he will bring to the soccer team and to Ursuline."
