The entire Ursuline College community is gearing up to cheer on our reigning NCAA Champion,
Alaysia Brooks, as she returns to the NCAA DII National Championships this weekend.
Alaysia took home the NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field 800m title back in March and she looks to bring home another first place trophy this weekend in the 800m for the Outdoor season as well.
She enters nationals ranked
#1 IN THE NATION with her time of 2:05.28 from her first-place finish in the 800m at the G-MAC Championships on May 1st. Brooks enters the race with outdoor USTFCCCA All-Region honors, G-MAC First Team All-Conference honors and her previous G-MAC Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year title.
Alaysia is set to take off in the third heat of preliminary rounds tonight, May 24th at 7:15 PM EST / 6:15 PM CST. You can watch at the link below!

Eight athletes will advance to the finals, including the top two finishers from each of the three heats as well as two additional best finishes. If Alaysia moves onto the finals, she will compete on Saturday, May 25
