Her career-high of 27-points came against Lake Superior State this season and she has tied her record two additional times since then against Malone and Trevecca Nazarene. Morgan is a two-time GMAC Academic All-Conference Team student-athlete. She currently has a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management & Business and a Master of Arts in Education. She will graduate in the spring with a Master Certification of Arts in Wellness with a focus on coaching. In today's match up against Cedarville, the Arrows were off of their game in the first half. UC shot 34 percent (10-of-29) from the field and 3-of-16 from the paint while CU shot 58 percent (14-of-24) and 9-of-14.
Alyssa Evans had a hard push for the Arrows and led the team with 10 points in the first half. However, the Yellow Jackets went into the break with a 19 point lead, 67-48.
The Arrows came out of the break looking for a come back as both teams traded baskets. UC made eight shots in a row from the field in the first five minutes of play and improved their field goal shooting to 75 percent (9-of-12) in the third quarter. The Arrows outscored the Jackets 23-20 but were unable to chip away enough as Cedarville still held a 19 point lead going into the fourth and final quarter.
Ursuline's defense held Cedarville to their lowest shooting percentage of the game in the fourth quarter and tried to fight through the large point gap offensively. Despite their efforts, the Arrows fell to the Yellow Jackets 82-62.
Evans and
Michaela Cloonan led the Arrows with 18 points each as Green put in 12 points of her own on Senior Day. The Arrows ended up shooting 43 percent (25-of-58) from the field and 4-of-25 from the arc while Cedarville shot 51 percent (28-of-55) and 12-of-24)
Ursuline hits the road to face Hillsdale College in their next GMAC match up on Wednesday, February 17th at 5:30 pm.
