The Ursuline College track & field team competed in the YSU National Mid-Major Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Check out the highlights below.
Friday, January 28
The Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team of
A'Zaria Thomas,
Ciani Kensey,
Alaysia Brooks, and
Emma Esteves broke the school record with a time of 12:59.01 and finished 4th overall in the event. The previous school record of 13:09.68Â stood for nine years.Â
Brianna Hollie moved to 4th all-time in school history in the long jump with a personal best jump of 5.19m and finished 11th overall. Kayla Hormazabal had a season best jump of 4.95m and
Kayla Childs had a personal best jump of 4.62m in the long jump event.Â
Saturday, January 29
The duo of
Dayahana Douglas and
Chriselee Hendricks finished 2nd and 3rd in the 60m dash final with times of 7.75 and 7.84. Douglas and
Autumn Burgess tied for 4th overall in the 200m dash with a time of 25.71. Burgess had two personal best times on the day in the 60m dash of 8.10 and 200m with her time of 25.71.Â
Hendricks and
Elyse Kelley had season best times in the 200m respectively with 26.28 and 27.21.Â
The Arrows compete next weekend at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open on February 4th and 5th.
