The Ursuline College track & field team competed in the Al Hall Freedom Games at Edinboro University.
Chriselee Hendricks and
Dayahana Douglas lead the Arrows with a top first and second finish in the women's 60m dash. Hendricks finished first overall with a 7.82 season-best time and Douglas, with her debut meet, finished in 7.88. Douglas ran a personal best time in the prelims of 60m dash of 7.85. Douglas also finished second overall in the 200m dash with a time of 26.12.
Karla Hormazabal was second overall in the women's triple jump with a 10.63m mark.
Meghan Hodges had a collegiate best performance in the weight throw with a mark of 11.72m and finished 8th overall.
The Arrows also had a pair of 3rd place finishes,
Alaysia Brooks in the 400m dash with a indoor personal best time of 1:00.22 and
A'Zaria Thomas in the 800m with a indoor personal best time of 2:27.79.
Jennifer Beverly and Hormazabal had a solid debut in the high jump tying for 4th overall with a jump of 1.45m.
Rounding out the meet with a few key performances were
Emma Esteves, placing 9th overall in the mile in 5:36.98, and
Kayla Childs, placing 9th overall in the long jump.
Ursuline competes again next weekend at the SPIRE Midwest Indoor Open on Friday and Saturday, January 21-22.
