The Arrows volleyball team swept the weekend in a thrilling five set match versus Kentucky Wesleyan.
Ursuline came to play in the first set, winning 25-18 but dropped the next two sets 23-25 and 12-25.Â
The fourth set had the Arrows controlling most of the game, winning 25-22 and sending the game into a fifth set. With back and forth action in the fifth, Ursuline fought hard each point for their 15-13 win over KWC.Â
UC was led offensively by Seniors
Jami Turay and
Nora Clink, Turay hitting a .458 on 13 kills and Clink tallying 14 kills and 3 blocks. Sophomore
Hallie Rose contributed to the success of the front row with her .444 hitting percentage. The Arrows defense held strong with LaPinta's 16 digs as well as Gerth and Miozzi's 15 digs each. The team had a total of 54 kills, 48 assists and 81 digs for the day.Â
Ursuline travels to Hammond, IN next weekend where they will compete in the Midwest Crossover Tournament. Information on competition and game times will be released this week atÂ
