The Ursuline College Volleyball Team had a game winning performance on Friday night versus Trevecca Nazarene where they won 3 sets to 1.
The Trojans opened the match with a win in the first set, 25-23.
Trevecca led the second set 15-10 until UC Freshman,
Emily Holton, rattled off 6 aces to tie the game and held the serve until the Arrows led 19-15. This amazing come back brought unstoppable energy to Ursuline's play, leading them to their 25-20 win.
The Arrows offense came out clicking in the third set while building a 18-10 lead over the Trojans. TNU fought back but they were unable to stop UC from taking the win 25-22. Ursuline led the entire fourth set,
Devin Gerth having 10 kills in the fourth set alone hitting a .714. Game leaders included Gerth's 23 kills and 16 digs,
Leah LaPinta's 20 digs and
Sarah Miozzi's 39 assists.Â
Ursuline hosts Kentucky Wesleyan University on Saturday, October 10th at 1:00 pm. The Arrows have won the last three match ups against the Panthers who are currently 0-8 in the conference.Â
