The Arrows volleyball team dropped three sets to top seeded Hillsdale College on Saturday afternoon.
Ursuline was ahead for most of set one. They were led by solid defensive play including 25 total digs for the team. Hillsdale tied the game 11-11 and pushed ahead to their 25-16 win in the first set. Set two had the Arrows swinging strong with 13 kills compared to Hillsdale's 11. The Charger's three point run at the end of the game resulted in their 25-21 win.Â
UC began set three with an 8-3 run and led most of the game until Hillsdale tied the game 15-15. The Arrows blocking was strong and the Chargers had a hard time finding the floor until the last few rallies. Hillsdale pulled ahead and finished set three 25-19.Â
Devin Gerth led the team with her double double of 16 kills and 10 digs while Senior Middle,
Jami Turay hit a .250 with 6 kills. The Arrows defense had 53 total team digs in the 3 set match.Â
Ursuline is home again this upcoming weekend where they will play Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene on October 8th and 9th.Â
