The Ursuline College volleyball team dropped two games this weekend on the road to Ohio Dominican and Cedarville.
Their loss to ODU on Friday evening ended in three sets, 19-25, 15-25 and 21-25. The Arrows found success in middles
Jami Turay and
Maleah Gibbons, who hit a .313 and .263 each.
Devin Gerth had 8 kills and 21 digs for the day however the team struggled to find success despite their efforts.Â
The Arrows came out on Saturday looking to turn the page against Cedarville. They had a strong first set, winning 25-21, but fell the next three 20-25, 23-25 and 20-25. Outsides
Devin Gerth and
Nora Clink both posted up double-doubles, Gerth with 22 kills and 14 digs and Clink with 10 kills and 14 digs.
Sarah Miozzi averaged 11.5 assists per set in the four set match while
Leah LaPinta led the backrow with 20 digs.
Ursuline returns home for their next conference match-up against Lake Erie on Saturday, October 30th at 5:00 pm. The Arrows will honor their five seniors,
Jami Turay,
Leah LaPinta,
Nora Clink,
Regan Nickol and
Sarah Miozzi, in their final home game of the season.
