The Ursuline College basketball team dropped a tough overtime game to visiting Ohio Dominican 104-90 on Saturday afternoon.

The Arrows and Panthers traded baskets in the early parts of the first quarter that saw the game be tied four different times. Freshman
Bekah Green hit a three-pointer with 4:42 remaining in the quarter to tie the game 12-12 and followed that up with a jump shot to give the Arrows a two-point lead.

Ursuline got another three-pointer from senior
Paige Salisbury with 1:43 to play in the first and closed the quarter on a 6-2 run to lead 25-17 after one.

The Arrows offense exploded for a 30-point second quarter that was started by a jumper from Salisbury and back-to-back three-pointers from junior
Julia Cardwell that made it 33-18 and gave Ursuline its largest lead of the game. Freshman
Emily Poling got in on the three-point barrage with 6:59 remaining in the half when she made it 40-23.

Ursuline built a 55-35 lead at the break behind 11-of-16 shooting from behind-the-arc. It was the most three-pointers made in a half this season for the Arrows.

Ohio Dominican started the third quarter on a 7-0 run that quickly cut the Ursuline lead from 20 down to 13. The Panthers closed to within four at 62-58 with 2:53 remaining in the third before Poling buried another triple to push the lead back to seven at 65-58.

Poling sparked another run in the fourth quarter after she hit a jumper on the baseline to make it 82-76 and followed with another three-pointer to make it 85-79 with 4:03 to play. Leading 90-87 with just under 15 seconds to play, the Panthers Alexis Overly connected on a three-pointer from the right wing to send the game into overtime.

Ursuline shot 32-of-68 (47 percent) from the field and tied their season-high with 16 made three-pointers in 35 attempts. The Arrows were 10-of-18 from the free throw line and blocked six shots. Ohio Dominican hit a school-record 21 three-pointers in 37 attempts and shot 38-of-77 from the field while going 7-of-10 at the free throw line.

The Arrows were led by Cardwell who finished with 21 points on 8-of-17 from the floor and 4-of-7 from the three-point line in 40 minutes of action. She grabbed six rebounds and blocked two shots while dishing out a pair of assists. Poling finished with 20 points and was 6-of-15 from the arc while junior
Ky Crevison added 16 points. Freshman
Jennah Taylor had 13 points and seven boards while blocking three shots and Salisbury finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Ursuline will host Hillsdale College on Thursday evening at 5:30 pm. The Chargers won the first meeting 89-84 back in December.
