The Ursuline College basketball team concluded its weekend road trip with an 87-75 loss to Truman State on Sunday afternoon.

For the second straight game, Ursuline had a strong first quarter that started with a three-point hit from senior
Ky Crevison. Junior
Sam Jenkins and Sophomore
Rebekah Green followed with layups to build an 8-2 lead in the opening 1:30.

In the two games on the weekend, Ursuline outscored its opponents 56-40.

The Arrows and Bulldogs were deadlocked at 27-27 at the end of the first ten minutes on Sunday with Ursuline shooting 64 percent from the field (9-for-14) including 4-of-5 from deep.

CHIPPING IN

The Arrow got 17 points from their bench but were outscored 33-17 by Truman State in the contest.

Ursuline had three players finish in double figures led by Crevison who had 19 points and grabbed three steals in 32 minutes.

Ursuline was 13-for-15 from the free throw line on the afternoon and were 23-of-32 on the weekend.

INSIDE THE BOX

Ursuline shot 48 percent (27-of-56) from the field while Truman State was 35-of-69 (58 percent).

The Arrows hit 8-of-24 from behind the three-point line while the Bulldogs were 6-of-22. At the line, Truman State was 11-of-15 and won the rebounding battle 43-23.

Ursuline forced 22 turnovers and committed 21 of its own.
