The Ursuline College basketball team hit a season-high 12 three-pointers and scored a season-best 83 points as they defeated visiting Tiffin University 83-70 on Thursday evening.

After the Dragons claimed an early 3-2 lead, Ursuline got a three-pointer from freshman
Emily Poling to spark an 11-0 run to build a 13-3 advantage with under six minutes remaining in the first quarter. During the run, junior
Ky Crevison also hit a three and junior
Julia Cardwell buried a jumper.

The Ursuline lead reached 11 in the first quarter at 18-7 after another jumper from Cardwell with under three minutes to play.

The Arrows offensive attack continued in the second quarter as they shot 8-for-15 from the floor and went 3-of-5 from the three-point line as they outscored the Dragons 25-17 in the frame.

Ursuline shot 29-of-59 (49 percent) from the field and went 12-of-25 from the three-point line while Tiffin was 26-of-70 (37 percent) from the floor and 9-of-24 from the arc. Ursuline was 13-of-20 from the free throw line and picked up nine steals on the defensive end. Tiffin turned the ball over 17 times while the Arrows committed 18 turnovers.

The Arrows were paced by Crevison who scored 17 of her game-high 20 points in the first half on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor and 4-of-8 from behind the three-point line. Poling finished with 15 points while freshman
Kaylin Burdick and Cardwell had 12 points each. Senior
Paige Salisbury finished with six points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.
