The Ursuline College volleyball team dropped a tough five-set road decision to Trevecca Nazarene on Monday night in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Arrows offense came out quickly in the first set and built an early 6-3 advantage over the Trojans. After the match was tied 1-1, Ursuline never trailed again in the first set as they went onto win 25-18.

The momentum continued to build for Ursuline in the second set as they got out to a 7-3 lead and once again never trailed in the set before winning 25-14.

The Trojans responded by holding off an Ursuline rally in the third set and won 26-24 to force a fourth set in which Trevecca also won 25-21.

With the match tied 12-12 in the fifth and deciding set, Trevecca scored the matches final three points to cap the comeback in the Great Midwest opener.

Ursuline's offense was paced by career-high 13 kills from sophomore
Hannah Hottinger and junior
Vikki Henderson who also had 13 kills and 19 digs. Freshman
Jami Turay had a career-best 12 kills and hit .375.

Kassidy Stilwell led the Arrows with 22 digs and senior
Katelyn Selleny had 52 assists.

Ursuline will have a quick turnaround with a trip to Owensboro, Kentucky to take on Kentucky Wesleyan tomorrow evening at 7:00pm EST. The Panthers won last year's meeting in five sets with the last Ursuline victory coming in straight-sets in 2016.
