HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite a cold start from both teams, the Arrows held a 13-11 lead after the first quarter. Ursuline held Ohio Valley to just 5-for-20 shooting from the field but the Arrows managed to go just 5-for-22 from the floor and 2-for-8 from the arc in the first ten minutes.
The cold shooting wore off when the second quarter began as the Arrows shot 11-for-17 from the floor and went 4-for-6 from behind the three-point line as they outscored the Fighting Scots 26-11 in the second quarter.
Sophomore
Morgan Mattimore paced the Arrows in the second quarter with 10 points on 4-of-6 from the field while sophomore
Ky Crevison gave a spark with a pair of three-pointers and senior
Camryn Hill had six points in the quarter as well.
Ursuline held a 39-22 lead at the intermission.
The Arrows lead reached as many as 22 in the second half as they held Ohio Valley to 62 points in the contest on 32 percent shooting and just 3-for-21 from the three-point line.
BALANCED ATTACK
The Arrows had four players score in double-figures for the second straight game led by Hill who finished with 21 points on 10-for-19 from the field and she also grabbed eight rebounds and blocked a pair of shots.
Senior
Laney Lewis finished with 17 points and had four assists while grabbing 14 rebounds and picking up a season-best eight steals. Lewis also blocked two shots.
The Arrows got a season-high 33 points from their bench.
SMOOTH CRIMINALS
The Arrows had a season-best 15 steals led by eight from Lewis and four from Mattimore. In total, five different players had at least one steal for Ursuline in the victory. The eight steals by Lewis was tied for the most in a game in program history.
BLOCK PARTY
Ursuline swatted away a season high 10 shots led by three from junior guard
Paige Salisbury while Lewis and Hill each had two. Six players finished with at least one block for the Arrows.
STILL STREAKING
Lewis scored in double-figures for the 40
th consecutive game dating back to December of 2016.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Lewis, who leads the nation in rebounding and double-doubles picked up her 20
th of the season in this the Arrows 22 game.
TRANSITION GAME
The Arrows finished with 25 fast break points in the game and also scored 21 points off Ohio Valley turnovers.
UP NEXT
The Arrows will be off until next Thursday when they to Hillsdale for a re-match with the Chargers who won the first meeting of the season in Pepper Pike 84-68.
