The Chargers extended their lead to 9-3 before the Arrows offense got going and a jumper from junior
Paige Salisbury made it 14-10 with 4:02 to play in the opening quarter.

Ursuline's offense heated up in the second quarter as they shot 50 percent from the floor (7-for-14) led by sophomore
Ky Crevison who hit a pair of three-pointers to help the Arrows take a 37-35 lead at the intermission.

THE GAME CHANGED WHEN

Hillsdale's defense turned up the pressure in the third quarter when they held Ursuline to just 7-for-18 shooting from the field while the Chargers shot 13-for-18 from the floor and outscored the Arrows 33-16.

The 33 points was the most allowed in a quarter by Ursuline this season.

Hillsdale led by as many 17 in the fourth quarter and limited Ursuline to 10-for-32 from behind the three-point line.

The Chargers had a 36-12 advantage on points in the paint and also outscored Ursuline 19-12 in second chance points after grabbing 21 offensive rebounds.

STREAK SNAPPED

Despite having their eight-game winning streak snapped, Ursuline is still tied for first-place in the conference with Findlay who is playing at Lake Erie on Saturday.

Ursuline's last regular season conference lost game on February 25 of last season when Malone held on for an 81-80 win in Canton.

The Arrows have won 29 of their last 33 Great Midwest Athletic Conference match-ups and will look to start a new streak on the road at Walsh on Thursday and then a re-match from last year's tournament championship game with Malone on Saturday.

Senior
Laney Lewis continued her streak of scoring double figures to 33 consecutive games with a 16 point, 16 rebound performance. She also dished out six assists and blocked two shots in 40 minutes of play.

STEPPING UP BIG

Salisbury started the game a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and finished with a career-high 18 points on 8-for-14 from the floor and was 2-for-4 from the arc. Salisbury grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists while also blocking two shots.

Ursuline will travel to North Canton, Ohio on Thursday to take on Walsh in the first-ever conference match-up between the two schools.
Â
Walsh and Ursuline last met in 2014 when the Cavaliers defeated the Arrows 78-53 in a game played at Lake Erie College. Walsh won the only meeting in North Canton 63-50 back in the 2012 campaign.
