In the opener, the Arrows took on the host Crimson Hawks and fell in three sets. After falling behind 5-0, and 8-2, Ursuline rallied to pull within a point at 8-7 The Hawks pulled away with a 25-18 win in the opening set.

The second set saw both teams trade points back and forth in the early going. Ursuline grabbed an 8-7 edge after a kill from sophomore Victoria Henderson. Ursuline drew closer at 18-17 after another kill by Henderson before falling in the second set 25-21.

The Hawks won the third set 25-10.

Ursuline was led by Henderson who finished with 10 kills while fellow sophomore
Angela Zamora added six kills and freshman
Jessie Lee also had kills in her first collegiate match. Freshman
Hannah Hottinger had two blocks in her first career match.

In the second match of the day, the Arrows fell to Daemen (NY.) 3-1. After dropping the opening set, the Arrows rallied and won an exciting second set 32-30 to even the match at one set a piece. Daemen won the third set 27-25 and took the fourth 25-21.

Lee had a career high 16 kills while Henderson finished with 12 and Zamora 10 to pace the Arrows. Hottinger added four more blocks in the second match. Junior
Katelyn Selleny added to all-time assist lead with 30.

Ursuline will play two more matches on Saturday starting with Roberts Wesleyan at 10:00am and concluding the tournament against Clarion.Â
