The Ursuline College lacrosse team suffered a 12-11 setback on the road in Lexington, Kentucky against Transylvania University on Tuesday evening to conclude their spring trip.

The Arrows got on the board first when sophomore
Abigail Neeley scored an unassisted goal in the opening two minutes to make it 1-0. The Pioneers then scored three unanswered goals to make it 3-1 before senior
Maddie Kipp scored to bring the Arrows within a goal.

Hayley Mazreku added a goal to make it 4-3 and freshman
Hannah Hunt tied the game up with 9:00 to play in the first half. The two teams traded goals over the final minutes of the half with the Arrows trailing 6-5 at the break.

Trailing 11-9, with under 14 minutes to play, junior
Cydney Bartlett scored back-to-back goals to tie the game 11-11 with under eight minutes to play. The Pioneers scored the game winning goal with 3:22 left to play.

The Arrows were outshot 31-30 but did outshoot the Pioneers 20-11 in the second half. Ursuline held a 29-26 advantage in ground balls.
Ursuline was led by Bartlett's second five-goal game of the season while Kipp added three goals.Â

Sarah Bowerman added four saves in the second half.
