The Ursuline College basketball team made it two-straight Great Midwest wins as they defeated Davis & Elkins College 82-74 at home on Wednesday night.

Tied Up Early
Both teams shot the ball well in the first quarter as the Senators were 7-for-15 from the floor and the Arrows went 6-for-13. However, Davis & Elkins went 1-for-7 from behind the three-point line in the opening period but the game remained tied 15-15 after one.

Defense Stepped Up
 The Arrows stepped up their defensive effort in the second quarter and continued to guard the three-point line well. D&E was just 1-for-8 from deep in the second quarter while the Arrows heated up and went 11-for-18 from the floor in the second and 3-for-6 from three.

Carly Koncz gave Ursuline a spark off the bench as she hit 2-for-2 from behind-the-arc in the second quarter while senior
Camryn Hill scored 11 of her game-high 27 points in the second quarter on 5-for-6 shooting.

Ursuline outscored Davis & Elkins 25-15 in the frame as they built a 40-30 lead at the break.

Shooting Struggles Continued
The Senators struggles from deep continued in the second half as they were 4-for-20 from three in the third quarter and went just 4-for-20 from the floor.

Ursuline's offense stayed consistent in the third quarter as they were 10-for-20 from the field and 3-for-5 from three.

The Arrows held a 65-42 lead after three quarters.

Taking Care of the Ball
Junior
Paige Salisbury had her second straight game of 10 turnovers and zero assists in 32 minutes of play. Salisbury has totaled 20 assists on no turnovers in her last 70 minutes of play in her first two Great Midwest contests.

Connecting From Deep
Ursuline went 7-for-18 from the three-point line in the game and had five different players hit triples. Koncz finished 3-for-6 to lead the Arrows.
Narrowly Missed
Lewis narrowly missed her second triple-double of the season as she picked up her sixth double-double of the season.Â
Welcome Back
Sophomore
Morgan Mattimore returned the line-up after missing several games and gave the Arrows 14 points on 5-for-14 shooting while dishing out four assists and grabbing two steals.Â
