The Ursuline College basketball team won its seventh straight game on Thursday night with an 89-57 road win at Ohio Valley.

The win, coupled with a Malone loss, leaves the defending champion Arrows in sole possession of first place for the first time this season.

Ursuline got a three-pointer, one of seven in the game, in the first 90 seconds from senior
Erica Huber to take a 3-0 lead and never looked back. Huber hit another three about a minute later to make it 9-3 and finished off the run with a jump shot to make it 15-5 with 3:00 to play in the first.

The Arrows took a 23-7 lead after the first quarter.

Huber continued to light it up from behind-the-arc in the opening minutes of the second quarter as she hit back-to-back triples to extend the lead to 29-9 with 8:00 to play in the first half. Her sixth three-pointer of the half came with 6:15 to play in the half that pushed the lead to 32-9.

Ursuline led 51-20 at the break and the six threes by Huber were the most in a game by an Arrow in a game this year.

The Arrows shot 55 percent (33-for-60) from the field in the game and also shot 55 percent from three (15-for-27). Ursuline outrebounded Ohio Valley 34-27 in the game and also forced 18 turnovers. Ohio Valley shot 45 percent from the field (23-for-51) but went 1-for-11 from three.

Huber led Ursuline with 25 points on 8-for-13 from the field including 7-for-11 from three and also grabbed seven rebounds. Sophomore
Brigan Wymer finished with 13 points on 5-for-7 from the floor and also dished out six assists while redshirt junior
Laney Lewis posted another double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Junior
Camille Gist added 12 points on 6-for-10 from the floor off the bench.

Ursuline will travel to Cedarville on Saturday afternoon for a re-match from last year's G-MAC Championship game against the Yellow Jackets. Cedarville knocked off previously unbeaten Malone 73-61 on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 2:00 PM on Saturday.
