The Ursuline College volleyball team travels to Owensboro, Kentucky for the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational starting on Friday morning.

The Arrows will take on Brescia University on Friday in their first match of the tournament. The Bearcats are 2-4 on the season. After dropping their first four matches of the season, Brescia has won two straight, both in straight sets.

Ursuline will look to continue a strong performance from the IUP Crimson Hawk tournament last weekend. The Arrows dropped a tough opening match but rebounded to win the next three to finish the weekend 3-1.

The Arrows notched wins over Roberts Wesleyan (3-1), Holy Family (3-0) and West Liberty (3-0). Seniors
Emily Adkinson and
Makayla Windau both put up strong performances to help pace Ursuline.

Adkinson was named G-MAC Athlete of the Week in her first match back after missing most of last season due to an injury. She finished the weekend with 47 kills and 17 blocks while Windau added 49 kills and five blocks.

Sophomore
Kassidy Stilwell finished the weekend with 65 digs and fellow sophomore
Katelyn Selleny added 119 assists (8.5 per set).

Later on Friday Ursuline will play Bluefield State before concluding the tournament with matches against Salem International and Tiffin on Saturday.Â
